BO2 Black Screen/Crashing

Every time i've tried playing zombies or anything on BO2, the game will run fine for a couple of minutes. However, the game randomly freezes on me or takes me out to my desktop. I can hear the game audio and stuff but if I try to click on BO2 it refuses to open. The game also randomly crashes/freezes while still playing game audio. Im playing on the official steam version with a pretty modern gaming laptop. I've tried reinstalling the game multiple times but that didn't work. I booted the game without Plutonium, that didn't work either. I'm tired of this and need help fixing this. If it helps i keep getting Event ID 1000 on event viewer everytime this happens.
