Command console not working

The command console won’t open In game even though I’m pressing the right button and I’ve tried typing commands into the launch console and it just says unknown command, and when I try the key to open the console it shows up in the launcher console and says unknown command

Opening console differs from keyboard settings, usually ² or `
Have you tried F10 when in zombie menu ? Where is your game directory

You can also use the launch console that is linked to the game by pressing alt & tab and skip the previous step
Which I recommend as you have a small IDE to work with
