BO2 multiplayer cannot same custom game modes or game rules

I have been having issues with this and noticed a post from 2022 about this, but haven't seen any updates about it since, But I'm curious if custom game modes and game rules are supposed to save in BO2 multiplayer? because currently it doesn't as it will reset to default upon pressing S or clicking the save button, it being a built-in feature of the game itself should mean it works normally but I am not a coder so i have no idea why it would or wouldn't function.
