my nat type is moderate, but i want it to be open. i've tried everything. port forwarding, ip passthrough, even disabling my firewall. i just can't get it to change. i have an at&t router if that helps. any help is appreciated.

Have you set your local ip static?
Sounds like you don't always get the same ip and thus it breaks from time to time.
