Help Making Simple Script?

i'm trying to get r_lodBiasRigid -1000 r_lodBiasSkinned -1000 to load in a script for draw distance, but 1. i have zero experience scripting and 2. i'm not even 100% sure if scripting is the thing i'm supposed to do here? i cannot stress enough the lack of experience at hand here lol. can anyone point me in the right direction?
