Restoring BO2 save data
-
I was reading up this past week on how to keep my multiplayer stats/camos/etc from resetting every time I exit the game, and found the post by Marlboromir on creating checkpoints with a config file.
I randomly was reset back 5 levels again today, however I did find the config_mp.cfg file from the night before when I logged off in my players folder. It seems to just not be loading from it?
How do I fix this or get it to load from that save point?

You can force the game to store the profile data locally on your PC if you have issues storing it on our infrastructure.

How can I do that? I just got set back 7 levels and lost a gold gun and I am livid.

Xerxes I assumed that's what I was doing following the referenced post, but it's only sporadically working and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I think my progress did save to that config_mp.cfg file, since it was from the right date and time, but I'm not sure how to load from it

By changing
use_localStats.
config_mp.cfg does not contain your stats, but rather your configuration hence the name. -

On startup I've been typing use_localStats 1 then use_localStats 0, then before logging out from the main menu I type forceuploadstats and sit for a minute before hitting quit. It's still not saving my progress

Start the game, set use_localStats to 1, play a round online, disconnect, quit the game and restart the game and check if your stats saved.

It took me back from level 25 to level 12, but it did save when I leveled back up to 13
