Can't change screen resolution above 1920x1080 whilst playing on a 2560x1440 montior

I have a 1440p monitor, but in settings it does not give me the option to go anything above 1920x1080. This is very frustrating, as my PC is capable of running the game smoothly at 1440p, and I cannot experience the game in the best resolution. So if you have any fixes/recommendations, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance.
