With the game running, my discord audio is terrible. (On my friends end.)

So I just downloaded Plutonium and ran Black Ops 2 after setting it up, and was in a discord call with my friend and he says every time I launch the game it messes up my audio on Discord. Is there any way to fix this? I don't have multiple inputs, so it's not switching to a crappy mic somewhere else.

So I just turned my input volume down in Discord, and that seems to fix it. But I'm still curious as to why it does this. I don't want to have to change my input volume every time I play this.

try turning voice chat off in the game options.
If that doesn't work try turning off "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device"
System -> Sound -> Device properties below your input device -> Additional device properties -> advanced
