Wired controller not connecting

Xbox one wired controller not automatically connecting?

Figured it may be a problem with Steam, closed every instance (no help).

Ran as admin, put plutonium in my base game directory and yes I made sure controller was enabled in settings.

Also the console is saying "Controller 0 has connected".

Any ideas?
