UPnP not working still after Port Fowarding
-
Using Google Wifi and have UPnP enabled on the router for all devices and I have the port 4976 port forwarded and it is still saying UPnP not enabled in the console. Also went into my network settings and set it to the "private" option and rebooted and it was still set to private.
Disabled antivirus too for Plutonium and don't have any external software that could affect it like this such as afterburner.
Any ideas?

freakhd forwarding the port will not enable upnp, it is a workaround for when upnp is disabled. So after forwarding the port your friends should be able to connect to you.
-
Dss0 oh I see. Is there a way to just enable UPnP besides setting my network to the "private" option since that doesn't work for me?
-
freakhd nah, just try with port forwarding and if connecting via the friendlist doesn't work ppl should be able to connect via the console using your wan ip (https://whatsmyip.com/).
-
Dss0 my friends have been trying every variation of the connect command with my wan IP, with/without port, no colon, etc. and still couldn't connect. Just keep getting the "Joining Game Session" popup at the bottom of the screen for about 5 seconds then goes away.
-
freakhd that means something is still blocking the connection, post a screenshot of your port forwarding settings.

I think I uploaded the image properly? If not, I'll try again. Also, I'm using Google WiFi too if that makes any difference that you know of
-
freakhd that might be an issue, i'm not sure. how does your network setup look like? Google wifi is just a wifi router/ap right? So you have some modem or router from your isp and behind that a google wifi router?
Found this: https://www.reddit.com/r/GoogleWiFi/comments/99uwlm/port_forwarding_help_please/ -
Dss0 Yes that is correct. I'll take a look at r/googlewifi and see if I can find anything. Just tried enabling IPv6 and still nothing
-
freakhd yea so whatever is infront of your google wifi router might still be blocking the connection if it's not in bridge mode. You basically have one router infront of another rn.

Yea it's in bridge mode. I'll keep tweaking around with it. Thank you for the help! I really appreciate it
