Game not starting

My friend has a similar problem. I guided him correctly throught the installation steps but at the very end when he tries to launch the plutonium.exe it opens for a second, it shows "Fetching update info" and closes, as mine does. The difference is that the game doesn't open, not even the command prompt. No error messages, just a loading wheel on the cursor for half a second and then nothing...

So it does open the launcher but gets stuck after hitting Play? Try installing the redists and directx from the redist folder, and you need to add Pluto to exclusions in your AV. If you're using defender, follow this whereas if you're using bad AVs such as McAffee, Avast, etc I'd suggest uninstalling them.
