Console isn't working Plutonium

Hello!
First of all I love what this community is and what the game is. I have a quick question about the quick console. When I press `, the console pops up and I can type. However, when I type in something (ex. "unlockall") and press enter, the text stays and nothing happens. It happens with every command I enter. The console won't let me enter in. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the problem sustains. Any help? -
