Where did you download BO2 from? Did you recently torrent any other games from repack sites?

I'm having the same issue, already reinstalled the game and reinstalled directx. I used the link to download the game in the installation guide.

One repack you installed did bring its own custom version of DX9 with it. The fastest way of resolving that would be to re-install windows but you can also try to manually clean up the mess, delete the custom dx9 dlls and then install it directly from Microsoft, however you won't get any official support with this and noone from the staff team is forced to help you with this.

Not possible, you recently downloaded something from some repack site that led to that error. If you still have that on your PC, you need to delete them. Check %localappdata% as well, and if you find anything relating to that game, delete it.

I don't think they supply their files though gdrive, they distribute the game + client files through a torrent. So yes you probably downloaded an unofficial repack.

This error isn't related to any broken files.

                    alt text

                    Check localization.txt.

                    Anyways:

                    • Which graphics card do you use?
                    • Have you updated your graphics driver?
                    • Have you installed directx from the redist folder in the game folder (dxsetup.exe)?
