Crash when quitting BO2
-
Every time I quit the game through any means (such as the quit button in the main menu,
quiton the console etc.) Plutonium thinks the game crashed & generates a ~1 GB Crash Dump. This is very inconvenient for me due to the very limited disk space I have on my C drive.I've already asked in the Plutonium Discord server to no avail. My current solution is to make the crashdumps folder read-only. Is there a more permanent solution (i.e. prevent the crash from occurring in the first place?)
EDIT: Here is a sample of the text file Plutonium generates:
Exception Code: 0xC0000005 Exception Address: 0x00426A12EDIT 2: I just launched the game & then quit it right after with the
quitcommand. Both text files have the equal Exception Code & AddressEDIT 3: I uploaded a crash dump, where I launched the game, waited for the Overlay to load & then
quitthrough the console. -
Hey - thansk for the detailed report. I've tagged RektInator - our lead developer to see if he can provide any info on the crash.
Thanks for uploading a crash dump too, i guess if it's not a simple fix we could potentially also have a startup arguement that stops crashdumps being generated.

Thanks! Another thing I should perhaps mention: after the crash prompt appears, the game exits by itself after about 5 seconds without any interaction (i.e. closing the prompt). I'm unsure if that is usual behavior as the game never legitimately crashed for me lol.

That is normal behavior in case people use auto restarters and what not (for dedis). Auto restarting wouldn't work if the popup stays open.
But because of the nature of this crash, I won't be taking a look at it soon due to other priorities.
