Adding a Game and a Mode

Adding the exe and bootstrapper to steam doesn't work for me, nothing wants to launch.

BUT opening lutris and adding the game to the aplication menu and then adding that to steam worked.
The only way for me to get LAN shortucts was to use the proton method on the later half of this guide, WaW works flawless, BO2 too but loading fast file mods crashes the game (even tho it didn't on my first time??), and black ops 1 doesn't even wanna start.

I can launch all the games via the pluto shortcut I made with the Proton method but the performance for bo1 sucks so I suggest sticking to the Lutris method for everyone else, it's easy to setup and it all works.

Hey Tendan_F were you ever able to get BO1 to launch offline? I am also having the same issue via Proton with offline mode.

  • Can online and LAN clients join the same BO1 MP server?
    arikad0undefined arikad0

I'm trying to set up a BO1 MP server that both online and LAN clients can connect to via IP address. With T6 MP, T6 ZM, and T5 ZM, this works fine - LAN and online clients can join the same server without issue. BO1 MP seems to behave differently though.

When I run my server in LAN mode, online clients can't connect. When I switch it to Online/public, LAN clients are locked out -- which makes sense from an anti-cheat standpoint, but it creates a problem for mixed sessions.
I remember that BO1 MP historically required a Session ID to connect via the console connect command. Is it possible to get a Session ID assigned to a server without putting it on the public server list? That way online players could connect via Session ID and LAN players via IP, both hitting the same server.

Is this currently possible, or does BO1 MP just not support mixed online/LAN connections the way other titles do? Appreciate any insight and thanks for the work you've done on this project.
