close any software that has an overlay and is running in the background (msi afterburner, rivatuner, ...) exclude the bootstrapper from scanning in your av software: https://plutonium.pw/docs/antivirus/ if you have an avermedia capture card or vr headset try unplugging it (in avermedia's case uninstalling the drivers may also be required)
