How to get Plutonium Working on Steam Deck. After taking 3 hours out of my life to install Plutonium on my Steam Deck I decided to write this to make it easier for people trying to do this.
Here are the steps.
-
Go into Desktop Mode
-
Install Lutris from the Discover app
-
Add Black Ops II to your library, there should be a version just for Plutonium.
-
Let it install, it will take awhile.
-
After installation, right click on Black Ops II, click on Configure and make sure DVXK and Esync are enabled in Runner options (if you are having any crashing issues change your version of Wine to Proton GE), and make sure to enable Disable Lutris Runtime in System options
-
To add controller support, click the arrow next to the Wine glass at the very bottom, then click on Wine configuration. When in the configuration menu, click on libraries and scroll down to xinput1_1 - xinput9_1_0. Then edit all xinput libraries to "Builtin then Native".
-
Add it to your Steam library by right clicking on Black Ops II then clicking on Add Steam Shortcut. It should appear in your Non-Steam Games.
6a. If no shortcut appears, create a Desktop Shortcut then open up Steam. Then press Add a game (bottom left corner) then press Add a Non Steam Game. Add the Desktop shortcut you made.
-
Rename the shortcut to Plutonium (if you want to my controller config)
-
Create a controller config that uses the right trackpad as a mouse (or use mine called "Plutonium WAW/BO1/BO2 Gamepad").
-
have fun.
I hope this helps you.
