My friend changed his forum name but it dosent seem to change his IGN so how can we fix it

I can get into the updated launcher just fine but when i get into the game, it just shows up with "Fastfile for zone 'patch.mp/patch.zm' is corrupt or unreadable, i dont own the game if that helps at all.
