Plutonium

An older thread said that plutonium won’t work on the steamdeck because it’s “all the same hardware”. Does this mean plutonium will work on steamOS, just not on the steamdeck devices? I’m about to build a custom “steam machine” running steam OS and was planning on playing BO2 on it
