Even though me and my friend are following each other on plutonium, he doesn't show up on my friends list in game, and in his friends list it says I am offline. Help pls

Cannot see friends on friend list bo2 zombiesMe and my friend both follow each other on the plutonium website, but I CANNOT see his name in my friends list in bo2(or any of my friends for that matter), and he says he CAN see my name on his friendlist but I am permanently offline and he can not invite or join me to games.
