this is the menu i am stuck on. left lick doesnt do anything, A on controller doesn't, play_demo command doesnt do anything

I tried playing a demo file i got from the server, but the "start film" and "codcast film" buttons just do not do anything. i tried kbm & controller, nothing works.

is there a command or something to force-play a demo or a fix for this?
