How to use PS4 Controller

Whenever I connect my controller it doesn't work correctly like it did before I had plutonium. Now for example when I'm playing zombies or any other mode when I try to use controller the binds are all mixed up and wrong.
Can anyone help with this problem? -
Is there a solution for using an xbox controller without steam? I have seen people do it through steam but I do not have steam and cant find a way to get my xbox controller to work fully.
When I boot up the game via plutonium launcher, it seems like my dpad and A and B buttons work, but nothing else does.

Bro, to play with ps4 controller you need to download DS4Windows, with that app you can run the controller in almost all games
