Hosting is free, only using a VPS to host 24/7 is paid.
There's no fixed price it depends on the offer you take, the company etc.

To give you an idea what I saw ranges from 3$/month to 100$/month

Also are you really sure you need a dedicated server to play with friends? Why?

the thing is that we cant like join to our partys, it said "unable to join game in progress" i ready did port forwarding and everything, so thats why we are trying to buy a server so we can play without any issue, because we can join to the public server and play, but we cant join to each party, so thats pretty much it

@Wkey-Toto fixing your issue, which is related to your network, is better than buying a server and going into the complexity of a server (it's not really hard but it involves more things than custom games etc.)

You probably have a firewall blocking something or your port forward rule is wrong

yeap, i know the thing is that we are from latam, and our internet providers doesnt give any resolution for the issue from the nat, we cant get into the modem, so thats why we are trying to buy a server bc i think that it will be better for us.

@Wkey-Toto please don't create multiple topics next time

From what you said, instead of buying a VPS, if it's cheaper, something that could work for you would be buying a VPN that supports port forwarding.

                VPS:

                • more expensive
                • runs your server 24/7
                • once it runs no configuration is needed anymore

                VPN

                • cheaper
                • the server runs on your PC so if you close it the server is off
                • if your VPN doesn't have a fixed port you need to re-configure the port in the server bat file each time the VPN has a new port (everytime you start the VPN/your PC basically)

The only VPN that have port forwarding that I know are:

                • Mullvad VPN (fixed port)
                • Proton VPN (port changes on each connection)
