I get this same error every time i boot up bo2 (yes i have tried repairing game files):
Error during initialization:
Missing config file "default_mp_controls.cfg" during initiliazation. May need to add to code_pre_gfx.

Where did you download the game files from?

Resxt nvm i fixed it by moving files to C drive and it somehow worked

I am currently experiencing this same issue. I have the game downloaded from Steam and it is on one of my SSD's. No DLC has been purchased

Kpow make sure to install both mp and zm.
If you did then repair both

nvm i fixed it. I just reinstalled the zombies and multiplayer

I took the game files from a YouTube drive so I don't know what exactly I'm missing
