Won't let me join the server.

For some reason, the server won't let me join, and it won't show up to others.
I've had this server for a while and used it to play with friends.
We stopped playing for a while (like a couple of months) and came back to have some fun again, but the server won't show up to them, and when I try connecting to the server by typing "connect localhost", something from the bottom appears and it says "Joining game session" but nothing happens.
I tried reinstalling the server completely, but still I had the same problem.

Dont know if you need help still but try seeing if your firewall is blocking it or what worked for me restarting intill it did

YPmable Firewall is not blocking it.
i tried reinstalling the server again and did the firewall step again but still no luck

You are missing the server port, since you have to start the game first it will take the default port. If you have not changed it on your server it will just take the next free one.

Xerxes Is this something new or has it been there since the beginning? cause I had this server for a long time, and it used to work perfectly.

It has been like this for a very long time but not from the beginning.

AHHHH, since I started this topic I kept trying to setup the server. what port should I exactly use? the one I used to use was "4976-4977". Did it change or something? Im only trying to setup the server to use the zombies++ mod, is it possible to use it on custom matches?.

You can use literally any between 1024 and 65535 but 4977 (default +1) probably is the easiest to remember.
