MADEINACHOPSHOP Steam deck users have all been banned because of one person who modded. Saw another guy very reasonably upset ask “so I just spent all that time setting this up to find out that all steam deck users are banned?” so some loser mod who got his fee fees hurt said “yes!” And locked the thread like a coward. Usually when you mass ban an entire god damn platform you make an announcement and not give half assed and smart ass responses to frustrated people but hey 🤷‍♂️ I don't make mods.

throwaway12345 Wow, I literally just finished setting it up to find this out. Fuck that, what a lazy and cop out way to "solve" a problem. I just wanted to install Plutonium so I could get aim-assist back in zombies. I'm ass at the game on controller without it. Hopefully they backtrack soon because banning the entire platform is a bad choice.

Still the same issue. Just did the whole install to be greeted with the same error. It's been more than a year already...
Thankfully if you press the little green button on the right you can turn to LAN mode (offline) and it runs fine.

JohnnyWumpa there is a way to spoof the hardware so the game doesn't think you're on a steam deck, someone made a guide here.

After taking 3 hours out of my life to install Plutonium on my Steam Deck I decided to write this to make it easier for people trying to do this.

                          Here are the steps.

                          1. Go into Desktop Mode

                          2. Install Lutris from the Discover app

                          3. Add Black Ops II to your library, there should be a version just for Plutonium.

                          4. Let it install, it will take awhile.

                          5. After installation, right click on Black Ops II, click on Configure and make sure DVXK and Esync are enabled in Runner options (if you are having any crashing issues change your version of Wine to Proton GE), and make sure to enable Disable Lutris Runtime in System options

                          6. To add controller support, click the arrow next to the Wine glass at the very bottom, then click on Wine configuration. When in the configuration menu, click on libraries and scroll down to xinput1_1 - xinput9_1_0. Then edit all xinput libraries to "Builtin then Native".

                          7. Add it to your Steam library by right clicking on Black Ops II then clicking on Add Steam Shortcut. It should appear in your Non-Steam Games.

6a. If no shortcut appears, create a Desktop Shortcut then open up Steam. Then press Add a game (bottom left corner) then press Add a Non Steam Game. Add the Desktop shortcut you made.

                          1. Rename the shortcut to Plutonium (if you want to my controller config)

                          2. Create a controller config that uses the right trackpad as a mouse (or use mine called "Plutonium WAW/BO1/BO2 Gamepad").

                          3. have fun.

                          I hope this helps you.
