what is the full path of the directory?
and what is the error it tells you? You may have selected the wrong directory or have broken / missing files etc. Need more details to help!

It doesn't indicate any error, it just runs and nothing happens, I put the directory in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Black Ops II

Yes, on Steam the game starts -
Are your drivers up to date? That could also be an issue.

I updated my Nvidia drivers, which are the only ones I haven't updated, and there is no change, everything remains the same. -
