The update is part of the April Fool's Day joke Plutonium recently released today, and it's not permanent. It's not possible to disable as well since it's hardcoded, but it's a funny joke Plutonium decided to do to the community, and it affects both multiplayer and zombie maps. I'll give it a few days, and they will either disable it or make it toggleable.

uptown_mf well, you can invert headphones on your head. It worked for me.
