Hi, I've recently been working on custom maps for black ops 2 (showcase here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtqR-zJF2Mk) and i'm running into a problem when trying to load the custom map that i found to be because of plutonium.

When using the "map" command to load into the custom map, the game crashes. Crash dump is here: https://mega.nz/file/sM1xFA4Y#Zn0Ruox621i7nCoCHJH1pW6qYyL-COiS9b62ggVx7AQ. I'm pretty sure the issue is with the certificate of the fastfile not being valid, as official map fastfiles will not crash the game.

I'm assuming that when using the "map" command it will check the certificate, and when loading mod fastfiles the check is skipped. I haven't found any other way of bypassing this crash apart from injecting a DLL into the game.

I would love to release my tool to the public without this bug, and I'll be happy to provide sample map fastfiles or more details to help out.

      Hey
I dropped a link to this topic in our internal Discord, I hope someone with the necessary knowledge will soon reply.
IIRIC Plutonium versions before the BO2 refactor don't check the validity of fast files; I had a few issues with unsigned fast files myself when the update dropped.

CraftyCritter Hey I didn't see the forum post, I was linked the video directly but I did leave a comment on the video.

Anyway the reason you couldn't load it without a patch was because we only enabled unsigned fastfile loading for "mod.ff" which was a long time ago when primitive mod support was first added and no custom map tools existed at the time.

But it should be fixed and on our staging branch soon to allow loading any unsigned fastfiles when an fs_game is set.

If you'd like you could send us an example custom map fastfile to test the usermaps functionality that we had also added a few months ago.

Feel free to report any other bugs you encounter either here or send a friend request to me on Discord account name jezuzlizard.
