having server show up on server browser

i setup a dedicated server around a hour ago and everything was working fine but my friend could not see my server on the server browser but we could both connect using /connect and i wanted to know if there was anything i should for it to show up on the server browser for my friend

Skrrub are you both on the same network or using Hamachi or something? Some routers don't support NAT loopback which means you can't see yourself but others will

@lResxt sorry but we were not on the same network or using Hamachi yet he was still able to connect to my server through /connect through his on internet
