UPNP is enabled, but no friends can join me

Lobby is open, UPNP is enabled, my friends are all added through plutionium and they can see that i am in a game, but when they double click my name or enter the "connect xxxxxx:4976" it doesnt work and says "joining" for a few seconds before doing nothing
Can anyone please help me set up a custom game with friends

CCruddy have you started the match? Lobbies don't work, you need to be in-game so people can join you.
yes i started the match
CCruddy try forwarding port 4976 udp via your router's web interface (https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-port-forward-4163829)

i have port forwarded, its like my game is broke. are there any other fixes or shall i just try reinstalling the game
