"when your FPS is high. BO2 eventually becomes completely unplayable. Put your resolution on the lowest value, put all your settings to low and start nuketown in a private match. Then try to jump out of a window. You will see what I mean. We will not remove the FPS cap from BO2 until these severe issues have been patched."

Why can't you change the fps cap to 333 then? you can still jump out of windows at that fps and it plays perfectly fine. there's no reason not to

server owner if they choose to can change the client fps cap if you dont like the 200 fps cap when playing on server make your own server and change the dvar that controls the client fps cap. sv_clientfpslimit is the command you will need to use

MattyS values above 250 make the game unstable and since the vast majority of people probably don't need to go higher than 144 anyways it's capped to be stable for everyone. If the 1% of people who play in 300hz want 300fps they can create their server like mentioned above. The 1% can't just ask for something that will make the game less stable for all the rest

RektInator you said that it's unplayable at high frame rates, and the jump issue is in every cod when your fps goes very high. And if that's the reason for the cap why isn't mw3 or waw capped?because they have these same issues. I suggested 333 which is perfectly playable, you can go up stairs and jump out of windows like you said to try.

@lResxt Unstable in what way? 333 is perfectly playable and stable, as is with all other cods. And there are still benefits of an fps higher than 144, the response time will be much better and it will feel much smoother i.e. smoother mouse movement with 300fps@60hz than 60fps@60hz. That's why csgo players don't cap their fps to their refresh. And it won't make the game less stable for all the rest because they can just keep the default cap at 200 or whatever and allow players to set it to whatever they want, they can even add a warning if they want.

It's not gonna happen, and yes imho sv_clientfpslimit should be added to the other games too to prevent people from gaining unfair advantages. But feel free to make your own T6 client without the stock fps limit if you disagree that much.

MattyS Can you read? The jump issue is not present on EVERY cod title. Other cod titles DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO FLOAT when your FPS is high. T6 does. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
