game and launcher close after selecting zombies or campaign with no error

so i can get into the menu screen of bo2 but the game closes immediately after selecting multiplayer or zombies and freezes when trying to connect to online without any error message
ive excluded plutonium from windows defender and tried it without any background apps but no change.
