Can we create a offline lobby for friends??
-
hadi202 In the server config, there is
sv_offline <value>
You can also host a custom games lobby on LAN. -
Hosting on your own LAN is really simple. Just start the game and go to custom games, start the match. Then your friends can join by using the console.
connect HostsLocalIPGoesHere
To find out the host ip address use cmd.exe and use the command:
ipconfig
Then look for the IPv4 Address.

do i need a program to join my friends Drgn
-
kuxqi No, you just need to port forward.
-
Drgn how gggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
-
Just open the console and do this when the host starts the game.
connect computername:4976
or
connect 192.168.x.xxx
(x.xxx is whatever IP your router pointed your computer.)
I suggest ipconfig /all in command prompt
Drgn said in Bo2 offline lan??:

If you playing on local you don't have to need port forward at all since the players connecting local LAN which means all ports are open.

While connecting me and my friends laptop over same wifi and creating clicking on Public Match on one laptop and using console to type "connect 192.168.43.51:4976" its not connecting. Also its not even showing the name of other pc.
On the other command prompt window its just showing "Received CL OOB 'getchallenge' from 192.168.43.51:4976"
I am using the latest Plutonium r372 -
Well I solved the using by using the opening the custom game and then executing the connect ip address command on the pc.
But I When I join my friend over offline lan in custom game,it always opens up as spectator mode. How to make this double player against zombies.
-
rafaroger He should join as a player after round 1 I think.
-
Mr. Android do you think in a later update we will be able to join in a lobby with the connect command
-
H3X1C when you say cmd.exe do you mean the command prompt it pulls up when you first start the game or the in game prompt because i dont know where to look for the ip because nothing shows up
-
@speedy101 No that's the bootstrapper and console you're talking about. He meant the command prompt - use the search function in windows, type cmd and launch it. Locking this thread since it's too old, create a new thread if you need more help.
