Other friends can't join my server

I recently made my own server so that me and my friends can play by ourselves. I can join easily by entering connect internalip:localhost in the console, but when a friend tries it a message saying "Joining Game Session" pops up but then it goes away and nothing happens.

hypn6tic well your router's web interface. The server won't work without forwarding the port.
