Me and my friend cannot join each other!

Me and my friend go to the same college and we are trying to play BO2 zombies together and it is not working. I have tried changing my network to private we have similar IP addresses since we are a couple blocks away at the same college, but they are a few numbers off. Not sure if we need to use UPnP but we dont have access to routers, is there a way around this or can we just not play together. He also cannot join anything, whether it is a game with me or even all the servers, he can start a custom game himself but cannot join me and i cannot join him. Please help, thank you!!

Sugardaddy__ i wouldn't be suprised if your college's router(s) have ap isolation enabled meaning you can't directly connect to other pc's on the network. If you can join public servers and he can't it's possible he is using an old version of pluto since he's starting the launcher directly (plutonium-launcher-win32.exe) instead of via plutonium.exe.

Dss0 so does that mean we just cannot play together at all? or have him update his launcher and we can only play through other servers and not just with each other

Sugardaddy__ you should be able to play on public servers, directly connecting to each other will probably not work.

Have you tried Hamachi or Radmin? Me and my friends were having the same problem and creating a Hamachi network and using its IP worked fine.
