Modern Warfare, despite my issues with it, is definitely my current favourite. It feels like Modern Warfare 2, just refreshed.
Second place would definitely be MW2 then, obviously, simply for being my first and favourite CoD.
BO2 takes third place, sorta futuristic but not over the top, definitely a favourite. -
If I'm honest, the game I've played the most and had the most fun is MW3, so in order it would be:
- MW3
- MW2019, BO1 because that's where I started so long ago, BO2 tied
- CoD4
-
I'm really torn between cod4 and mw2.
I love cod4 for promod and death run. I've always absolutely loved the people I played with then. And the the mechanics felt so smooth to me.
But mw2 has just been the game I grinded for years.

Favorites in the CoD series:
- Black Ops
- Ghosts
- Black Ops 2
- Modern Warfare 2
- Black Ops 3
Reasoning behind my madness:
Black Ops had an amazing Multiplayer that was ruined by mass amounts of modders, and same with Ghosts. BO1 beats Ghosts because of the survival. Ghosts Extinction was WAY too easy and was able to beat it solo after a few tries, while Black Ops zombies on any given map was continuous and progressive with difficulty and enemy counts. Black Ops 2 multiplayer was okay, nowhere near as good as Ghosts but definitely better than MW2. But it did have the best Zombie maps. The zombie windmills made the zombies gameplay way less tolerable than Black Ops, but maps and easter eggs were way more fun. MW2 multiplayer was just bad in general. The maps had decent layouts but paths were too predictable, and hitboxes were never right. I don't know how many times I've been killed by a grenade after I've hid behind something but if they try grenading again and it lands next to me I can move a few steps away and live. It was only good for it's Infected mode and engaging survival mode. Black Ops 3 just sucked. None of the maps were good so they had to remake based on older maps just to keep players from leaving the game, the jetpack and wall run features were just dumb and made the game too easy IMO. Me and my friend never lost a game on multiplayer because of how easy it was to move in any given direction. Made the game less tactical and more spray and pray by adding the air and wall mobility. Its zombies was even dumb. No good story lines for the characters and maps they were on and the map layouts were garbage. The only good things was the different types of enemies in Shadows of Evil, the different zombie types and being able to swim in Zetsubou No Shima, and all the different pieces of old maps in Revelations kept things interesting at the least. All the other CoDs that I could possibly pick from were more or less generic and boring to play and were overrun with modders way faster than the ones in my list, from what I've seen anyways, and campaigns were WAY too easy compared to the ones I listed (even on the max difficulty).So... how many bonus point did I get homura?

TheDominator4567 well you definitely got a lot lol.
-
I'd say.
- MW2
- BO2
- COD4
- BO3 (Zombies)
In that order. I used to always play isnipe on MW2, and the BO2 was just wacky fun with friends. Then BO3 zombies is just because I like zombies in that game. The modding keeps it fun.

I'm a normie so imma say Modern Warfare (2019) just cause the campaign is amazing and the multiplayer is action packed and somewhat realistic and very fun. BO2 is my second pick because of just how good multiplayer and zombies is.

guys i from Cuba and here the unique CoD series that we played are COD MW2 and COD MW3, so if i have to choose one of those two, i choose MW3, but the two games are amazing, now with pluto t6 we are starting to play, but the favorite is MW3

I would probably say Call of Duty: WWII.
- Gameplay is fun
- Still populated
- Soundtrack is literally up there with MW2
- Game looks like a tasty snack(Looks good graphics wise).
- Zombies was unique and creepy, just like how zombies should be.
- The pro-consumer choices they made after February of 2018 deserve awards.
My top 5 are:
- Call of Duty: WWII
- Call of Duty: Black Ops
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare(2019)
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
- Call of Duty: World at War

zommm Advanced Warfare has to be my favorite as well. The supply drops could be annoying but they aren't near as bad as some of the newer systems Activision implemented. I got the speakeasy after my first prestige or so and while it didn't make me scump it did help me contend with those bal inferno players. The movement, in my opinion, is my favorite in the whole series. A lot of people say Bo3 movement is best, but in my opinion it wasn't. Advanced Warfare didn't have the smoothest booster jumping, but it felt fast and whenever you jumped you committed and that was something I loved. It also has some super amazing maps. Solar, sideshow, and others are some of the best maps I've ever played. Overall it did have an amazing concept like you said and I think they most fulfilled that concept, but the supply drops did kind of take away from the experience.

MW3 or Advanced warfare. I really liked the multiplayer for both games and I never really understood the hate for AW. (Exo-Zombies on the other hand but I liked the atlas map) Sure the loot boxes were annoying and the drops sucked but the multiplayer was fun and that was all I cared about. People also shit on the game for being too futuristic but I think the jump boosts and grappling hooks were cool and fun to use. Even though the grappling hooks were locked behind DLC. MW3's multiplayer was fun too. If I had to pick one I would probably choose MW3. The infected in that game was hella fun and there was something about the multiplayer that just clicked with me I guess. Both games had good maps and the guns felt good.

You can tell i primarily play zombies and i think its the last scary zombies game mode when you play alone
WAW2 zombies was kinda scary when i played at night and was tired

Adding on to my last comment :R.I.P XBOX 360 Got stolen (the thief got arrested btw)
-
homura I would say Black Ops 2, I had way more memories (since it was one of the first Xbox 360 games I played) with me and my cousins. We had like 8 copies of Black Ops 2 and with our few Xbox's in the house we would host our own esports tournaments in Grief and Multiplayer lol. I always loved the humor and emotional scenes put into Black Ops 2s campaign as well as there being a "choices matter" where on most games, its usually linear with very little choice which impacts only the last few moments of those games (im talking to you Telltale).
Even though we could never afford the DLC and I didnt get to try out the DLC till later last week with a free PS3 my family got. It was still fun nonetheless (and a sort of fun intro on Zombies to me)
One of the few lines I love from the series is Woods saying "Safetys on dipshit" at the beginning.I know I made this seem like an essay but if I had the chance to answer this question I would definitely give out my main childhood game.
I played games like WaW before but I didn't really have much memories as much as I did for Bo2. Such a shame Bo3 fucked it up and Bo4 (that was supposed to make a connection between Bo2 and Bo3)

for me hands down has to be Call of Duty 3 released back in 2006 for the ps2, ps3, xbox, xbox 360
