most torrent files are stolen files and illegal, but i have the base game of black ops 2 from the plutonium base game, and it was fine. But i want to know if bo1s torrent file is safe, and if it is? how, how come some torrents are illegal and get you in trouble from your internet but plutonium's dont? why is that,

@xppo as Plutonium team stated: Torrenting copyrighted files even if you own a valid licence can get you in legal trouble, and they recommend us to get fresh licence from Steam/3rd party key sellers, or we can risk the torrenting with/without VPN.
      BO1 torrent file is safe.

@xppo this is a pretty complicated subject and it depends on who will get you in trouble. from my experience (may not be 100% correct) there are a couple of scenarios.

        • your internet provider inspects packets for torrent traffic and sends you warning letters not to pirate stuff -> they don't actually know what you're downloading, these are empty threats. This is something i mostly see in the US. Some may threaten you with termination of service, imo unlawful as you may as well be downloading linux isos via torrent but ig they can do what they want.
        • a law firm checks popular torrents (movies, games, music) for peers (people downloading or uploading the files) from their country then contact the isp of those peers and ask them to give out your private information because you infringed copyright. most isp's will do this and they will then send you a copyright infringement notice (or even ask you to pay moneys). This is extremely unlikely to happen with pluto torrents as they very likely aren't monitored by such agencies. why? well first of all who's gonna know what "pluto_t5_full_game" is? second those torrents aren't listed on any public torrent search engines and 3rd these are old games no one cares about anymore. these people make their money with newly released movies and such. I've mostly seen this happen in europe, especially germany.

so there is a significant difference if you download a torrent called "aquaman 2 1080p camrip" or one called "pluto_t5_full_game".

Anyways to be 100% safe use a vpn OR BUY THE GAME 🙂
