Friend server list not appearing

So I've been trying to play BO2 zombies w some friends but the friend server list is not appearing for neither of us so we cannot join our own games. How can we solve that?

@manrrrique we dont use the plutonium friendslist overlay anymore. U need to use the ingame friendslist.

@Thomaskuhh we've already tried to do it that way and an "unable to join match session" message pops up
