"Connect" Command does not work

My friend followed this YouTube video: - https://youtu.be/WT9Vf18k4zI?t=289 - to try hosting a server but when i do the "Connect [insert IP here]" it just brings up a small box saying "connecting" and then nothing happens. No errors or anything, just nothing.
I am still relatively new to plutonium and i am not sure how things work.

There is no video guide from the devs or staff but it should not be hard to do connect [ip]:4976 or 4977 or what ever port there using
