Xbox 360 Controller Not Working

I'm going to make this simple and short. i just downloaded plutonium yesterday on my laptop and tried to plug in my Xbox 360 controller and it didn't work. And before you say..
-I don't have steam downloaded so that doesn't interfere with anything
-gamepad is enabled
-I have read the doc
-It is a official Xbox 360 controller
-No, My controller is not broken it works with other games
