Launching T6, the application window minimizes and will not stay maximised or fullscreen

As in the title, I will launch T6 multiplayer or zombies (happens to both), the console will open and the game will open. After a few seconds, the game will minimize. The game is still open and the sounds are playing but when trying to pull the application back up from the taskbar it will minimize immediately and hide.
I have already downloaded the game files again to no avail. Is this a common issue? If so, what do I need to do to fix it?

BlitzingPhoenix if you have msi afterburner, rivatuner or any other software with an overlay try disabling it. Can you still open the console (bootstrapper)? if yes you can try running
r_fullscreen 0; vid_restartvia the console.

Dss0 thanks for the suggestion. I do use RTS, but it seems I only needed to restart my PC again to get the game working properly. If I run into the issue again I'll try closing RTS first. Usually, it doesn't give me any headaches. Cheers
