Before I say anything else, I would like to make it clear that I understand how hard it is (if not impossible) to design a cross platform server. I am just curious as to what all would be required or have to be taken into account if someone wanted to implement some sort of cross play between pc and ps4/xbox 1

JFK Shot First Basically the same that pluto does on the pc version, hook game memory and execute our own custom code instead of the game's code.
Consoles are very restricted and locked down systems so something like this isn't easy at all and in any case a custom client would only work on jailbroken consoles.
