    I did the portforward and i hosted a couple custom games with a friend of mine. when i opened the launcher again later on he was unable to join my custom game. do i need to do the portforwarding thing again?

      What comes to mind is one of these:

      • You did it wrong in the first place and it worked without port forwarding before but now it doesn't
      • Your IP has changed which means the port forwarding rule you created is obsolete, update the IP in your rule
      • You have a firewall/antivirus firewall blocking the connection
