Adding friends

I met this friend on MW3 and I told him to add me on the forum so we could stay in touch (he doesn't know how and said he'd look it up.) It sucks because I started following him but Ig he never figured out how it works. If only there was some way to reach him in game? When he's online again?

This is done in-game or on Discord whenever you're talking to the person
