error on linux with proton

installed plutonium launcher via the lutris script, all was well until I tried launching T6 and was given the error "could not authenticate to plutonium: the service you're using is banned."
I've seen a substantial amount of people play plutonium t6 on linux with Proton so I'm confused about this error. was proton support recently banned? is there a fix for this error?

Only steam decks should be blocked since it takes only one ban to ban all of them at once and we already had someone getting every single steam deck user banned.
