plutonium launcher Certificate verify failure

when I try to log in it keeps saying "handshake: certificate verify failed"
And it also said the same thing when I originally launched the launcher as it gave the same reason even though it should've auto logged me in.
And it's not like my details are wrong, no it's exactly right as I'm able to log on plutonium on my browser.
any advice?

Start the updater (plutonium.exe) not the launcher.
