i'm using the steam version and whenever i try to launch bo2 it said that I selected the wrong folder
as far as i can see i have the files i need in there.
i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, and the issue doesnt occur with bo1 or waw

You are clearly missing files, either you broke steam or you are a pirate trying really bad to hide it.
The solution is the same tough, get steam to install a non broken copy of the game.
