I have bo2 on steam and when i try to verify ownership, it will not sync. I have my profile public.

Also, when I try to set up the correct Game Path, it won't show any files within the Steam Folder. Doesn't work and shows this error.

That is not enough, your game list must be public. Alternatively sync it through the launcher.

nevermind i got it! it was synced all along.

also, i had to remove call of duty black ops 2 from the game folder inside of: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common
it had both COD Bo2 and CoD Bo2 Multiplayer inside of it. That was the issue.

That's not an issue at all, you simply never started the game through Steam.
Which means Steam never did install all dependencies.
