Virtual Machine question

So I setup Plutonium on my brothers and my PC's everything worked great in world at war zombies. I'm curious about virtual machines since I read plutonium flat out doesn't run if it detects one? I have a server down in my basement that can run a windows VM and I want to use that so my girlfriend can also play with us and I was wondering if thats feasible. Were all on the same LAN and when I switch to LAN mode it says Anticheat disabled so I'm unsure if that would allow it? I'm trying to see if/what roadblocks are ahead before even trying (and buying a dedicated gpu for it).

You can't run the client in a VM so that won't be possible. Only servers can be run in VMs.
